Hi!

My name is Kat!

Here are 7 things you should know about me:

1. I am very lucky to be a first grade teacher! I have been teaching for 10 years so far, and my students make me laugh every single day.

2. The idea for The Little Ouch came from my own fears as a kid- Penelope is actually based off of me! Getting shots always threw me into a frenzy, and my hope was that The Little Ouch could help ease other kids’ worries about visiting the doctor’s office. This is my very first children’s book!

3. I love running, reading (a lot) and going on adventures.

4. I have a twin brother named Chris, and he’s hilarious. Twin Time is based on the wonderful bond we share, and it includes some of our fun childhood memories with our family!

5. I grew up in Medford, Massachusetts, surrounded by the most amazing family and group of friends.

6. My home away from home is Newport, Rhode Island.

7. My favorite quote: “Anything is possible if you put your mind to it.”
